Predictive Programming (noun):
A theory suggesting that media, including films, television, and other forms of entertainment, are used to subconsciously prepare or condition the public for future events. According to this theory, by depicting certain scenarios in entertainment, the public becomes desensitized to them, making them more likely to accept these scenarios when they occur in real life. Unfortunately, this is not just a hypothesis.
